Key takeaways
  • Race V4 is a Third Sea project: finish Race V3, rip_indra and the Sealed King path, then obtain the Mirror Fractal from Dough King.
  • Moon resonance and finding Blue Gear unlock permanent access to the normal race trials; the gear is saved after changing races.
  • Normal trials require coordination: at least three eligible players with different races and a full moon for the trial session.

Race V4 requirement checklist

Do not start by searching randomly for Mirage Island. Finish the permanent prerequisites first, then plan one session for Blue Gear and another for the trial if necessary.

Resonate and find Blue Gear

On Mirage Island at night, reach a high peak, face the moon, and activate the V3 race ability while carrying Mirror Fractal. Wait for the confirmation that the fractal resonated, then search for the glowing Blue Gear before daytime.

Current Blue Gear documentation says moon resonance no longer requires a full moon, although the later normal race trials still require a full moon. This difference explains many outdated guides.

  • Search with a team; the gear location is shared, so one player can guide the others.
  • Avoid unnecessary PvP and do not sail into the highest danger level solely for this objective.
  • Once collected, Blue Gear remains unlocked even after changing races.

Temple of Time and the first trial

Return to the Temple of Time through the Mysterious Force at Great Tree and use the hidden lever to open the trial area. For the normal race route, organize at least three eligible players with different races and wait for a full moon.

Every race has its own trial. When the trial phase ends, the successful players compete, and the final winner follows the gear into the Ancient Clock. Agree on turns before starting if the group is cooperating; unclear expectations are the most common reason a prepared session collapses.

Training and later gears

The first successful trial unlocks V4, but a complete race awakening is a longer progression loop. Use the transformation in real combat to complete the Ancient One's training requirement, pay the requested Fragment cost, and repeat the eligible trial process for later gears. Do not promise every session to one player when several teammates still need progress.

  • Keep a Fragment reserve before beginning repeated gear upgrades.
  • Choose gear effects for your build goal rather than copying a PvP setup for PvE.
  • Training progress and trial eligibility are separate; check the Ancient One before waiting for another full moon.
